Pure android, this is a term you hear from most reviewers of the legendary nexus phones and now the struggling pixel line of phones. Pure android is a clean version of the android OS with no skin or tweaks on top of it. Its pizza without the extra cheese you ordered. Let’s break the three types of clean bloatware free type of android below.
STOCK ANDROID
In 2020 its really heard to differentiate stock android and android one. According to me I find the 2 to e exact same thing but before I wrote this article, I did my research watched several YouTube videos to hear different opinions and here we are.
So, stock android is what you will get from devices like nexus that was later replaced by the pixel ln. these phones get their software directly from google. Meaning updates are pushed early before they get to other android devices. Out of the box the devices come with just google applications with no bloatware whatsoever. It basically android as google intends it to be. Each phone running stock android gets a guaranteed 2 years of full OS upgrade and 3 years of security patch.
ANDROID ONE

Back in 2014, google initiated a programme called the android one program which was intended for low end devices. The plan later changed to android Go which I’ll explain in the next topic. Android one then later adopted by many midranges with serious specs. Android, one offers a near stock android experience to consumers sing them. Phones on android one also gets 2-year OS upgrade and 3 years security patch. This is how the circle is, the manufacture makes the hardware and google provides the software. Some of the notable brands wit android one phones include Xiaomi, Nokia and Motorola
ANDROID GO

This software is basically stripped-down version of android configured to run-on low-end devices with even 1GB of RAM. Most of the android application in it are the lite versions of the actual apps, that is YouTube becomes YouTube GO, maps for maps go… you get the pattern now. Unlike the first two, android go is not necessarily pure android as many manufactures have put skins on it.
