IS CHROME OS WORTH IT? MAYBE IT IS

Chrome OS is an operating system that was created by google to be used in chrome books. It competes with macOS and windows. It’s basically based on the web browser google chrome. In fact most of the stuff that can be done on the chrome OS can be done inside chrome browser installed in windows mac or any Linux distros.

Despite google taking a bold move and making chrome a standalone operating system, not many people prefer it or even know about it and most laptop manufactures just make budget chrome books with low specs. To be honest you can’t do a lot on chrome OS as you can do in other computer operating systems. Its hard to recommend the OS to anyone, gamers cant use it, well we have game streaming via stadia but this just it, graphic designers need programs like adobe that is not available in play store and that’s another thing its basically runs the apps in play store which are always designed with mobile in mind.

Well having said all that, is it worth your money. For me YES, Why? You may ask. With a good convertible or 2 in one as most of you call them, Chromebook can be a better machine over the iPad and struggling android tablets. Don’t get me wrong here I know many people prefer tablets, but we all know they lack the power to take on laptops, something most chrome convertibles can do without breaking a sweat. The original pixel book was packed with tone of specs and you look at Samsung and ASUS making serious Chromebook. I have never considered windows to be a good operating system when it comes to touch screens, its too sophisticated for that, the chrome OS is lite and well-polished, I call it an overgrown android. Why go for an iPad if you can wield intel Core i5.

Eve google understands this and released a great gesture navigation feature on chromes OS 80 to enable people to easily use the OS in tablet mode, if you have a convertible of Couse

And lastly chrome OS are great for anyone just want to do there research online, type assignments and watch stuff on Netflix and other streaming services.
